As a young lady in my twenties I found myself constantly exhausted. I was so tired I could not even brush my hair because I could not lift my arms. When I went to the doctors they found a low-grade fever and put me into the hospital for a liver biopsy. From that I was diagnosed as having hepatitis non A, non B. They told me it was chronic and persistent and of course offered no help, telling me the only thing I could do was rest.

I became very sick in late October 2001, from a tainted meatball. I flew home to Florida, on November 1, and my doctor put me into the hospital where four specialists examined me and found my stomach and legs were swollen. They sent me home with no improvement, even though I had had many tests. They finally diagnosed a “highly-inflamed bowel-colitis”. My stay in the hospital caused my weight to go up 20 pounds due to fluid buildup. I was disappointed in the way that I had been treated at the hospital. A few days later-2 years ago- I entered Hippocrates for three weeks. I was very ill, perhaps close to death. I attribute my complete recovery to my stay. Their motto-“Let food be your medicine”- is what did it for me. I highly recommend the institute to everyone who wants to live a very long life with excellent health and happiness. Brian and Anna Maria and their staff run a great organization that helps all people to live a long, happy, rewarding normal life.

My story begins with a simple eye infection I picked up in 2006. The doctor prescribed penicillin and the infection cleared after about a week, but my health got much worse. I was prescribed steroids and pain killers and told I would be healthy in about a month. I continued to take the drugs but something strange happened. Bacteria began to spread throughout my body, followed by severe pain in my foot five days later. It was terrible! I was bed ridden for over a month. I went to the hospital but they couldn’t find anything. My intuition led me to believe it was severe arthritis, but the doctors told me it was just growing pains. They wanted to overload me on prescription drugs for the pain, but I refused them and they just gave me pain killers instead.
