On Jan. 8, 2004 I went to my vascular surgeon for a routine check-up. At that time he performed an ultra-sound on my left leg. I had not been in pain and was shocked when he told me that the circulation in the left leg was compromised and that when the pain became unbearable, to come back and he would have to amputate my leg above the knee. Shortly after that visit, my foot began to have cracks appear and these would not heal, but turn into open wounds. Next, the pain became unbearable.

My two daughters, Nancy and Kara had been to Hippocrates in 2002. Kara had a prolapsed colon and was scheduled for surgery, but after her visit to Hippocrates, she was able to cancel that surgery. My daughters contacted Hippocrates and made arrangements for me to come immediately and my daughter Nancy came along to assist me.

Hippocrates placed me on a raw food diet of plenty of fresh green juices, wheatgrass juice, plenty of sprouts and salads. I also began treatment with an H-Wave machine. Within one day I saw the color of my leg and foot begin to change, it had been a reddish blue-black and now, after 3 weeks, it is 80% back to its normal color. The swelling is gone as is most of the pain.

I arrived in a wheelchair and by the second week I was pushing my chair around for exercise! I also found that I did not need to take my diabetes medicine as my sugar level had stabilized. I had arrived full of fear and very skeptical as my husband had just died in December; he had been a double amputee and I knew what faced with an amputation. I now feel I can lead a normal life and know that the quality of my life is greatly improved. My daughters and I plan to follow the Hippocrates diet so that we can all live with optimum health. I'm so grateful to Anna Maria and Brian for all their wisdom and dedication. They offer an education like no where else in the world.
