Pain

In 1991, I was totally debilitated, couldn’t stay awake, no strength at all. 1995 was holy hell- severe, almost unendurable pain. I also had what they term, the “silent disease”: transient pain and numbness that went from one limb to another and severe back and hip pain. The pain in my hips was the torment of hell! The doctors couldn’t agree if the pain was created in the back or the hip. There was back surgery and epidural injections. There were repetitious tests with no decisions, leaving me hanging in expensive non-relief. (The acupuncture treatments at Hippocrates gave me more relief than all the steroids and other forms of treatment combined.) I was diabetic as well, taking over 40 units of insulin. (Now 8, and I hope to be off it completely. I’m not replacing it with anything.) I’m watching my diet, and following the Hippocrates instructions.

Just before I came to Hippocrates my ankles were the size of my lower thighs. Surgery was suggested- a procedure to drain the ankles. Within one week at Hippocrates the ankles were down to normal.

I am no longer taking heavy doses of prescription medication. In some cases I have managed to cut the doses to about one third of the original, and discontinued others altogether. Before I came to Hippocrates, in 24 months there were 24 occurrences when I expected to die at any time, and the best encouragement I was given was “You can’t hope for more than poor health and further debilitation.” Now, I have reason to look ahead, reason to believe that I can improve a lot. From total disaster, I am now looking forward to enjoying my golf game again and a long life-span as well. I know I will have to work at it. I have had to dedicate my health as my work…a full-time job, but I’m excited, because I feel better…you’ll never know how much. And how grateful I am for Brian’s suggestion that I bring my wife into the program, to learn and to help me with it. It’s made a great difference. I can enjoy my family again. I’m really proud of how I’ve learned to use my body with natural treatments. And I’ve met people here with multi-chronic afflictions like me, with cancer and with Parkinson’s disease, who all walked out of Hippocrates feeling better!
