The world's water supply, which is the same as it was at the beginning of our planet's existence, is so contaminated that we must all be gravely concerned and make educated choices as to the type of water we consume.

Learning, behavioral and developmental disabilities, including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and autism prevent our children from reaching their full human potential. Seventeen percent of children in the United States have been diagnosed with one or more developmental disabilities. These disorders have widespread societal implications, from health and education costs to the repercussions of criminal behavior. As we know all too well, our world abounds with health hazards: driving, improper food and beverage choices, lack of activity and tobacco consumption among many clearly put our lives in harms way Less visible l or often invisible toxins, such as hidden chemicals, electro-magnetic fields and negative environments are often the greatest danger. Most of us reside in a very enclosed, self—created world believing that we are independent and disconnected from everything around us. In truth, we are all inter-connected; everything we do affects others, as the actions of others affect us. Sadly our planet has been greatly abused and misused, becoming a dumping sight, in a literal sense, but perhaps most significantly in a figurative one, contaminated by humanity’s common lack of regard for all of life. As the days pass and the pollutants mount, we are all coming closer to achieving endangered species status. In truth, it could be argued that we humans are the cancer of the planet and, like cancer itself, have the potential to kill our host-Mother Earth.

Governments are determining that the level of arsenic in our water creates numerous fatalities and would be too costly to clean up so we just write those poor folks off as victims of mans greed. In our so-called civilized countries, it is estimated that the average person’s body contains 280 times more fluoride than it should. Mercury is at an alarming level in the majority of people tested. This comes not only from the amalgam fillings that dentistry propagates; it also comes from the petro-chemicals placed on our food. As the chain continues, these chemicals pour into our water- ways polluting the fish which many people call a "healthy" food. We could go on for hours with description after description of illuminating "feedback from nature". When will we wake up and see that our lack of concern for what we discard is literally killing us? One must also ask the question how much is enough, when we already have the technology to propel our engines with hydrogen and eliminate many of our energy concerns with solar and wind technology. Further, organic farming has become solidly advanced, why do we allow money to dictate our continuation of the pollution of the planet?

New Scientist magazine says that rolling up your car windows while driving in heavy pollution won’t shield you from toxins. In fact, results from several studies show the pollution is likely worse inside the auto. Pollution levels were shown to be up to 18 times worse on the inside as compared to outside the vehicles. Carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide were two of the pollutants measured and found to be in significantly higher concentration inside the automobile compared to outside. Benzene weighed in between two and 18 times higher inside automobiles as compared to outside. Ventilation had little effect on reducing the pollution levels.
