"I just cannot speak in front of a group; I dread to even see the picture of a snake; In the last 42 years I have not been able to go into any body of water, not even a bath tub; I will be petrified if I see a roach in my house; I cannot fly in an airplane; I have a terrible fear of elevators and high bridges; I am scared to go for a complete physical." These are just some of the numerous expressions I hear from clients, most of which acknowledge an intense stress due to some form of fear. The bottom line is that they do not feel safe and, therefore, cannot relax.

Over the last I5 years of experience, I have found that the most effective remedy for fear is RELAXATION. Most people are able to overcome fear when they learn to relax. By "reframing" and "reinterpreting" their conditions while in a hypnotic trance or in a deeply relaxed state induced through Guided Imagery they begin to feel safe. The awareness of their strengths and of the supportive energy of the people in their life suggested to them in this state creates a feeling of safety A "dissociation experience" in a Regression Session has been found to be very helpful if the fear is based on some past, traumatic experiences. A spiritual awareness also often helps people feel safe at a deeper level. In short, by creating a feeling of safety and by learning to relax most people are able to gain freedom from fear.
