When I was a kid, physical activities were an integral part of my life, just as it was for most of us. After I finished my schooling and headed out to college, the importance of those activities steadily diminished. Mind you, I wasn’t studying in the U.S., but in Switzerland. Therefore, this “slacking off” is endemic of our modern world and not based on a particular way of life. I still managed to be relatively healthy, until I decided to return to the U.S. I had grown up in California as a kid and moved to Switzerland as a teen, so I was pretty familiar with my new surroundings?—?or so I thought.
