The most obvious reasons for choosing organic clothing are the environmental and sustainability factors. Did you know that the cotton industry uses over 25% of our industry’s pesticides to produce the crop? Or did you know that for every t-shirt or pair of jeans that is made with conventional cotton that approximately one pound of pesticides and chemical fertilizers are used? In addition, most garments worn today are made from synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon fabrics which are derived from petrochemicals. Like most petroleum products, these fabrics have a very slow decay rate; thus, accumulating in landfills around the world.
Furthermore, these chemical laden fabrics leach toxic residues onto the skin when wearing which can continue to emit through the lifetime of the garment. Being that our skin is the largest organic of our body, absorbing over 60% of whatever it comes in contact with, wearing clothing that is free of cancer causing chemicals is particularly important for one’s health.
Our organic apparel is made using the finest sustainably sourced organic and natural fibers to construct our garments. Free of harmful chemicals, heavy metals, toxic whitening agents, and dangerous dyes. We partner with ethical manufactures that follow our organic standards in order to provide pure, sustainable, and innovative goods.
Our mission for our product line is to be able to provide fashionable organic apparel for people who are seeking a healthier alternative to conventional and synthetic-based clothing. We use our profits for the power of good to further develop and support organic methods while serving in our communities to educate on the importance of wearing organic and ethically made apparel and the impact it has on one’s health and the health of the environment.
