Exercise Lowers Blood Pressure

The researchers studied 52 men who did both circuit weight training and aerobic activities like walking, jogging, or cycling during each exercise session. The men experienced substantial blood pressure reductions even though they lost little or no weight and were told to continue their normal diets. In addition, the 10-week exercise program significantly lowered total cholesterol levels while increasing the protective HDL cholesterol, which helps the body eliminate unwanted cholesterol.
