Since it is recommended for wheatgrass to be consumed on an empty stomach, we thought it would be best to take this opportunity to briefly discuss fasting. When we speak about fasting with liquid nourishment, we mean the drinking of raw juices such as green juices, and wheatgrass juice during a fast.

At the Hippocrates Wellness, we believe that all diseases begin with the accumulation of toxins and the impact of negative emotional and imbalanced physical energy, which forces most of our vitality to be contained in and consumed by the physical self. By living the Hippocrates Program and fasting one day per week on nourishing juices, you will release the flow of energy from the physical plane and allow it to infuse and strengthen your emotions, mind and spirit. Throughout history, many exemplary individuals in the field of endeavor, have used fasting as a way to accelerate their health and understanding.

During the days of fasting, we do not concern ourselves with the traditional “nutritional properties” of food such as calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fats. What is important is the positive life-force energy in the freshly squeezed juices: enzymes, alkaline minerals, and electrolytes. An interesting fact is that, via Kirlian photography, scientists are able to verify our observations by measuring the positive and negative life-force energy of foods: sprouts are the most positive, while meats pasteurized dairy and processed flour products are the most negative.
