“True” Roselle Hibiscus is a heat loving edible plant. The crimson-red flowers of this highly nutritious, heat loving plant are most often used to make a delicious and soothing cranberry-flavored tea. The green leaves can be added to salads and taste like a spicy spinach. The leaves have been used in folk medicine as a diuretic, and a mild laxative. The bitter roots have traditionally been used internally by Brazilians for digestive disorders and topically as a skin emollient. 

“True” Roselle Hibiscus is rich in vitamin C, minerals and antioxidants. Other traditional uses for this plant include aiding:
